The number of ships delivered in my country rebounded in May

On June 15, the China Shipbuilding Industry Association announced the operation data of my country's shipbuilding industry in the first five months of this year. Data show that in the first five months of this year, the production and operation of my country's shipbuilding industry gradually stabilized and rebounded. In May, the number of ships delivered increased month-on-month.
According to statistics from the China Shipbuilding Industry Association, from January to May, the national shipbuilding completion volume was 14.277 million DWT, a year-on-year decrease of 15.3%; the new ship orders received 17.692 million DWT, a year-on-year decrease of 46%. As of the end of May, the number of ship orders in hand was 102.2 million deadweight tons, a year-on-year increase of 20.2%.
Li Yanqing, Secretary General of China Shipbuilding Industry Association: For the shipbuilding industry, the biggest feature is that the final assembly is produced according to the beat. Well, under the influence of the epidemic, our rhythm production has been greatly affected, and some companies may have interrupted production or slowed down production. In addition, the global supply chain has also been impacted to varying degrees, affecting the entire production and operation, affecting delivery. .
Li Yanqing said that from January to May, although my country's shipbuilding completions and new orders decreased year-on-year, the share of my country's three major shipbuilding indicators in the international market did not decrease in the context of the shrinking global shipbuilding market. In terms of deadweight tonnage, China's shipbuilding completions, new orders and hand-held orders accounted for 44.0%, 52.5% and 48.2% of the world market share respectively, continuing to maintain its leading position in the world.
